Director of Business Development
As Direct of Business Development at Element Sensor, Wayne Bates is passionate about driving growth for the company. He is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships with current clients, and helping them become more successful.
Mr. Bates is essential to growing the Element Sensor brand. He identifies potential clients and new opportunities for marketplace expansion.
A seasoned sales professional in Industrial Electronics for 19 years, Mr. Bates called on customers such as Halliburton and Baker Hughes. He transitioned to the Energy business while learning to be a smart pig technician. He then spent several years in sales of downhole instrumentation, working with both operators and end users. After about 6 years in management, supplying inspectors for midstream and gas utility companies, he returned to the downhole instrumentation field with Element Sensor.
Mr. Bates enjoys golf, travelling, scuba diving in the Caribbean, and family time. He and his wife have 6 sons and 9 wonderful grandchildren.
Albert Jeria is the President & CEO of DistributionPlus, LLC, a provider of Customer Required Accessories (CRA), and Element Sensor, through the recent acquisition. Element Sensor designs, develops, manufactures, and services the industry’s most compact, redressable, high quality sensors that collect data and provide accurate outputs which help maximize well production and revenue for clients
Prior to leading DistributionPlus and Element Sensor, Mr. Jeria was the Senior Director of Supply Chain Management at McDermott International, Ltd., where he managed strategic and tactical planning, and service driven programs to increase market share. In this role, he also led supply chain management overseeing manufacturing, procurement and logistics.
Throughout his 25 years, Mr. Jeria has held executive-level positions in the Oil & Gas and Energy industries, in the US and Latin America, that have allowed him to employ multi-market discipline and project management skills while implementing and improving workflow processes, and cultivating key partner relationships. Various roles also involved hiring, training, and managing teams whose work positively impacted company revenue under his leadership.
Mr. Jeria graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management.
A native of Chile, Mr. Jeria enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and experiencing different cultures.
Edie Battle is a Supply Chain Specialist at Element Sensor. Her responsibilities include assessing current orders and forecasting future demands. She oversees vendor management, purchasing, receiving, and inventory to ensure adequate supplies remain on hand in the event of significant demand changes. Ms. Battle also negotiates prices and shipping terms.
Purchasing high-quality parts and timely delivery are essential for Element Sensor to produce excellent products and make on time shipments to our clients. Her 14 years of experience in Oil and Gas Supply Chain roles help us to achieve our goals.
Ms. Battle enjoys spending time at the lake with family and friends, camping, fishing, and swimming. She also enjoys cooking out and family game nights.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, Richard Vang develops manufacturing processes to design specifications, while maintaining compliance. In this role, he focuses on waste reduction and enhancements to the sensors created by Element Sensor.
In addition, Mr. Vang ensures the company exceeds safety and quality standards, while adhering to customer requirements and productivity levels.
Mr. Vang had a seamless transition to his position with Element Sensor. Prior to joining the company, he had 11 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
In his spare time, Mr. Vang enjoys restoring and racing old Honda automobiles.
Justin Hayes is an Engineer at Element Sensor. He is responsible for Facilities Management, including site selection, lease negotiations, and facility setup. He also provides technical support to customers, making him their first point of contact.
Primarily, Mr. Hayes’ ensures that all of Element Sensor’s facilities have the necessary equipment and parts to produce high-quality products in a safe environment. Critical to every company in the industry, he also oversees Element Sensor’s Health Safety and Environment (HSE) compliance, and makes sure employees have a safe and sustainable workplace.
Prior to Element Sensor, Mr. Hayes was employed as an ESP Field Technician, and also
ESP Accessory Product Champion for various products, including a downhole gauge, a remote monitoring system, and a hydraulic rod pumping system.
In his free time, Mr. Hayes enjoys woodworking and restoring heirloom furniture, as well as spending time with family and friends.
Chris Bennett, Senior Engineer, is yet another member of our talented team at Element Sensor. His responsibilities include developing test plans for company products, and performing electrical, mechanical, and functional testing of those products, followed by the writing of detailed test reports. Mr. Bennett also performs R&D functions to improve and enhance Element Sensor’s current line of products, and support future product development.
The testing conducted at Element Sensor is essential as it helps assure company products are designed to achieve a high level of performance, while also providing the data and service needed for customer applications.
The transition to Element Sensor was especially seamless as Mr. Bennett had a background as a Senior Engineering Technician, and Design Engineer. He credits both of those roles for his acquiring a strong understanding of how Artificial Lift Systems operate, and the demands placed on the monitoring equipment. Through customer communications, Mr. Bennett learned how downhole monitoring equipment interacts with production equipment, and its respective role. It’s that knowledge which gives him a better understanding of the internal processes needed to provide customers with both durable, and dependable equipment.
During his down time, Mr. Bennett enjoys many outdoor activities. Among his favorites are hunting and fishing.
